Mass murder and terrorism are two completely different crimes in which most people tend to confuse. To understand terrorism, we need to understand what is terrorism and why is it different from mass murder. Before you can respond to the answer you must ask some questions about the crime. When someone commits a crime they have a motive and a goal in why they are committing the crime so in order to understand the crime that is taking place we need to ask what triggered the person to want to commit this crime. Is the person committing the crime out of vengeance? Do they want to make a political statement? Does the person believe that through God this is the solution for their answers? If this is the case, do we consider some terrorist groups or terrorist a bigger threat than others and do we need to be aware of them in contrast to others? We need to ask ourselves if the person committing the crime is angry about a specific situation and what exactly is the reasoning, for example, aborti on and is that a terrorist act or is that an action of a mass murderer/serial killer. Another question you might want to ask yourself is if the person or group use a specific weapon. What weapon(s) were used? A gun, knife, bomb, automatic assault rifles? Do these weapons classify if the crime committed is a terrorism or mass murder act? Are some weapons used more frequently between these two crimes?
